After three months of lockout, free agency has been officially reopened in Major League Baseball. And only in the last three days, the rumors around free agents have been flooded the internet. Especially, Carlos Correa and his potential deal with the Chicago Cubs is trending all over the internet.

Any team would welcome Correa with open arms, but that will cost a huge amount for them. And that is one of the reasons why many teams are not considering him an option for their roster. But, Correa to the Cubs might be a serious deal and the Cubs pitcher Marcus Stroman is already hyped up for this deal.

Notably, if Correa joins the Cubs, then it will only strengthen the Cubs’ roster. However, Stroman is still not sure about whether Correa will sign for the Cubs or not.

Is Marcus Stroman also involved in the Carlos Correa deal with the Cubs?

Though Carlos Correa has not signed any deal with the Chicago Cubs, Marcus Stroman has already been cheering for his arrival.

Earlier on Thursday, when MLB owners ended the lockout, the free agency also reopened. And from day one of the free agency, Stroman has been rooting for Correa to come at the Cubs.

On the first day of free agency after the lockout, Correa took to his Twitter made a number of tweets regarding the rumors of Correa and the Cubs. In one of his tweets, he publically invited him to play for the Cubs. Which was enough to prove the Cubs’ interests in Carlos Correa.

However, when Stroman went for his first training ahead of the regular season, he denied his involvement in the Correa deal. And said that he is doing his little pitch on Twitter. Stroman was also glad to have baseball back.

“I am trying to get settled in to meet everybody, learn everybody’s name. But definitely good to have baseball back,” said Marcus Stroman. “When asked about Carlos Correa… I don’t know man. I’m just doing my little pitch on Twitter. Everyone thinks I have an insider, so I have no insider info dude every day.”
