Things are about to get more serious in MLB, as the next is just a month away from its start. However, the ruckus created by the owners’ lockout has not ended in Major League Baseball yet. MLB players like Anthony Rizzo, Carlos Correa, and Freddie Freeman, all are in their free agency. And because of the work stoppage, they are yet to decide their next destination.

Notably, the lockout has put a pause on MLB, especially the business part of it. With the lockout still in motion, neither a team nor a player is in a position to negotiate their contract.

Meanwhile, the former Yankees star’s recent action has confused the Cubs fans about his homecoming with his recent activity.

Anthony Rizzo puts the Chicago Cubs fans in a dilemma

The Chicago Cubs are among the few MLB sides who will go big once the lockout ends. But, on the other hand, the Cubs might be hoping for the return of their former star. Notably, after playing the 2021 season for the New York Yankees, former Cubs star Anthony Rizzo is currently a free agent.

After the lockout, the first and foremost job for any team will be to secure their desired players at the earliest. And in Anthony Rizzo’s case, earlier there were reports of him discussing his homecoming with the Cubs. However, Rizzo is still a free agent and can join any team only after the lockout.

Meanwhile, his recent activity has put both the Cubs and Yankees fans in a dilemma. Recently, a couple of pictures of him are going viral on the internet. In which Rizzo is training with a Cubs helmet. And with this, Cubs fans are expecting their former star to join the side again.

However, there is not any official information regarding Anthony Rizzo’s next destination in Major League Baseball. But till then, fans of both the Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees would want him to stay at their respective teams.

Earlier today, the former Cubs star also took a dig at the MLB owners and conducted a Twitter poll about the new CBA deal. He asked baseball fans if the owners wanted to make a deal by Monday or not.
