The Show 2022 is finally here. And the long awaited mystery of its cover player is finally clear for all to see. Not many were surprised by the feature though. And with good reason. Shohei Ohtani had dominated the 2021 season, winning the AL MVP in a unanimous vote. With one of the only truly 2-way seasons since when Babe Ruth turned out in the home jersey at Fenway Park, Ohtani has truly dominated the sport in 2021 and deserves the due recognition. Both from the fans as well from the pundits of the sport.  But another athlete could be featured on the cover too. Atleast according to a leak – Derek Jeter may be on the deluxe edition of the game.

The Show 2022 released its cover for PS5 on January 31 but the deluxe edition is still awaited. And while many have postulated a certain athlete to be on its cover, it still remains to be seen if their forecast holds true. Some fans had postulated that it would be the stars aligning if the cover was to feature New York Yankees legend, Derek Jeter. And it seems as though those fans may just get their wish. With a recent leak confirming that the legend will be making his way to the cover of the game soon.
