With this Correa’s deal with the Twins, probably every single prediction regarding Correa’s next contract has been proved wrong. Because at the start of the free agency, the Chicago Cubs and New yok Yankees were the frontrunners. However, Correa has stunned everyone with his decision to choose the Twins as his next home for a possible few years.

On the other hand, teams like the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs must be in shock. Because they were after Correa since the lockout.

Earlier today, in the middle of the night, Minnesota Twins dropped a bomb in the baseball world. That probably shocked everyone, especially MLB fans. Notably, after a week of rumors in free agency, no one had even imagined that Correa will play his next season for the twins.

When MLB insider Mark Berman informed the Correa’s deal, probably no one believed it. But after a few minutes, other reports said the same. And that was something that fans were expecting in this free agency.

Taking to Twitter, MLB fans trolled the Yankees for letting Correa go, while some of them also the Cubs for not pulling off Correa’s deal.

One user also indirectly trolled the Yankees’ management. Notably, first, the Twins traded Josh Donaldson to the Yankees and got rid of his huge wages. And with the help of that money, the Twins signed Carlos Correa.

Though Correa has signed a three-year contract with the Twins, he has an advantage to opt-out after the first two years of his contract. And with this, Carlos Correa to the Yankees or Cubs still cannot be ruled out. In the coming two years, he might sign for one of the top MLB sides.
