Carlos Correa and Freddie Freeman are the two names that have been hitting headlines of every sports channel since last week and we are just weeks away until 2022 Opening Day. According to reports, the former player for the Houston Astros, Carlos Correa, has agreed to a 3-year, $105.3 M deal with the Minnesota Twins.

The deal also includes two opt-out options for Correa. Carlos Correa entered the free agency list right after the MLB 2021 season got over. Correa got drafted by the Houston Astros during the 2012 MLB Draft and he had been playing for them since. With this historic singing, Carlos Correa became the ‘Highest-Paid Infielder’ at $35 M as he surpassed Anthony Rendon, who was at $35 M.

Personal life of Carlos Correa

Apart from baseball, Correa loves digging into some salsa with his wife Daniella Rodriguez. Correa was a valedictorian in high school and excelled in his SAT scores. His daily included attending school and then the ballpark for baseball training back in the day.

Correa’s parents always supported him- be it education, sports, or even learning English. He even played a huge role in helping the people of Puerto Rico and Houston, Texas, by donating a lot of supplies in trying times.

When talking about his school days, Correa said, “My friends at school would call me boring because I would never go to a party.”
