Star third baseman, Jose Ramirez, has agreed to a 5-year contract extension with the Cleveland Guardians, as per sources. The deal is set to be confirmed at $124 M. The 29-year-old Dominican started his MLB journey with the Cleveland Guardians when he signed with them back in 2009.

Ramirez has been associated with Cleveland right since they were called the Cleveland Indians in 2009 and he has thus chosen to continue his journey with them. The Ramirez-Guardians contract extension will probably be one of the tremendous contracts in the history of the Cleveland Guardians.

ESPN has revealed that, according to their sources, the contract extension of Jose Ramirez with the Cleveland Guardians will have no-trade clause. Considering the MLB 2022 as well as the MLB 2023 season, Jose Ramirez will be getting $150 M. With the 2022 Opening Day starting tomorrow, the Guardians are all set to restart their journey with the 29-year-old.

After getting signed by the Cleveland Indians in 2011, Ramirez spent some time in the minor league from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, Ramirez was called to the MLB. Jose Ramirez made his official MLB debut on September 1st, 2013, when the Cleveland Guardians faced the Detroit Tigers. The Guardians ended up winning the game 4-0.
