Baseball is back! And not to worry, even though the new season begins next month, the MLB market will entertain baseball fans till then. Some of the top free agents, like Freddie Freeman, Carlos Correa, and Clayton Kershaw, are yet to sign for any team. Hence, their future in the league is already the hottest topic of discussion.

Notably, unlike the aforementioned, a few of the players, such as Corey Seager, Max Scherzer, and Justin Verlander, had signed their new contracts before the lockout. Had the owners not imposed the lockout in December, Freddie Freeman too would have probably signed his new contract with a team.

Even during the lockout, many teams inquired about the availability of Freddie Freeman. But none of them were eligible to offer a deal. However, now with business running as usual, many believe that he will sign for the Yankees, while some rumors are also suggesting that he will end up at his former team, the Atlanta Braves.

A recent report suggests that before the lockout in MLB, the Braves had talked with Justin Verlander for a potential deal, while they also intended to keep Freeman by their side. But since Verlander returned to his former team, Houston Astros, the Braves stay focused on Freeman and also sign a high-level starter.
