Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez and Barry Bonds were two of the greatest ever to grace the game of baseball. The two of them have got a lot of things in common between them. Though Barry Bonds started his MLB career way before A-Rod did, both provided pure entertainment in their respective era.

A-Rod has played over ten years for the New York Yankees, while Bonds has also enjoyed a great stint at the San Francisco Giants. The MLB legend has played for the San Francisco Giants for over 15 years.

Talking about the records, the two have many accomplishments in their name. But to say who is better than whom is considerably more challenging than solving Einstein’s energy equation. Earlier this year, Bonds and A-Rod were Hall of the Fame ballot. However, none of them were able to get the honor.

A-Rod has played for the most successful team in the history of MLB. Barry Bonds, on the other hand, did not have this privilege to play for a big team like the Yankees. Instead, he, along with his teammates, made the Giants an excellent team. Both of them have played for 22 years in Major League Baseball.

Talking about records, when it comes to the number of home runs, Barry Bonds has an upper hand against Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez. With 762 home runs in MLB, Bonds leads the chart for most home runs in MLB history. While, with 696 HRs, A-Rod is fourth on the list.

Coming down to the player with the most hits in their MLB career, A-Rod is way ahead of Bonds. The Giants legend has just 2935 hits in MLB, compared to A-Rod’s 3,115. So, it is very challenging to say who is better between the two.

However, there is still one category in which A-Rod leads against Bonds. In his entire 22 years of MLB career, Bonds never got his hands on a World Series, but A-Rod won it with the Yankees in the 2009 season.
