Fans all over the world showered Mikaela Shiffrin with love and warm wishes on her birthday. The legendary alpine skier turned 27 years old on 13th March this year. At 27, Mikaela is a 2 time Olympic Gold medalist and a 4 time World Champion. Additionally, she is also a 6-time slalom winner at the World Cup.
Shiffrin was just a little above 18 years old when she became the youngest World Champion in alpine skiing. 9 years later, Shiffrin is still the World Champion. And although her Olympics stint wasn’t that successful this year, Mikaela isn’t one to back down so easily.

Mikaela took to Instagram to thank her fans for wishing her on her birthday. But the champion skier also took this opportunity to make people aware of great and genuine organizations where they can donate money to help Ukraine.

The 27-year-old was very honest on her birthday with her fans. She expressed how she is one of the ones who often forgets birthdays. But at the same time, Mikaela is grateful for the love she received from her friends, family, and fans.

“First of all, I want to thank you all for the birthday wishes. I’m a little weird with birthdays, and often forget them (sometimes even my own),” wrote Mikaela.
However, as the world is going through a crisis at this time, especially in Ukraine. Therefore, Mikaela Shiffrin took this opportunity to ask her fans to donate whatever little amount they can towards the cause of Ukraine.
