On November 30 Cincinnati Moeller running back Jordan Marshall became the 37th player to get the honor. This also made him the third Cincinnati high school player to win the award in the past five seasons. Dave Portnoy penned a welcome note to Jordan Marshall from his official Twitter account. He captioned the post as ‘’Welcome to the program Mr. Ohio! #goblue’’. Portnoy has every reason to be elated over Marshall joining Michigan, given the latter’s performance in the season.

Marshall, at 6 feet and 205 pounds, performed outstandingly and caught the eye of many spectators in the football regular season match. He rushed for 1,550 yards along with 17 touchdowns this season. Apart from that, Jordan Marshall succeeded in having 30 catches for 394 yards and four TDs. Because of an injury, Marshall could not play two games.

However, he made the perfect return in the second round of the playoffs with the Moeller’s 10-7 win over St. Xavier. Marshall not only exceptionally rushed for 127 yards but also achieved Moeller’s only TD in the game with his virtuoso performance. This earned him more praise apart from Portnoy.
