Throughout his career, the actor has faced several injuries and bravely fought against them. However, the martial art expert now faces the biggest fight of his life as he suffers from a rare disease.
Jackie Chan faces his toughest opponent ever
In October, the Asian Journal USA revealed that the Hong Kong legend was diagnosed with a rare illness named SJK or Samuel Jackson Kinny. SJK is an uncommon disease that causes severe joint pains and stiffness in the body.
Although Chan has suffered many life-threatening injuries during his acting career, this is an incurable disease. Hence, even someone as brave and powerful as Chan is helpless against the SJK. However, this does not mean Chan has given up all hope and will, after all, he is a fighter.
The iconic star has been open about his diagnosis and has determined to fight this ailment. The 68-year-old actor has already started his treatment to lessen the pain and help with the symptoms of the disease.
Although Chan is positive about dealing with the rare disease, his old body might not be supporting the actor entirely.
A limping Chan needed assistance to walk

During one of the promotions of his 2021 animated movie – Wish Dragon, Chan appeared to be in great pain. According to Today, the actor’s lower back injury had worsened during that time thus, needing assistance to walk during the promotions. In the video where Chan was limping, he looked in great pain. However, this did not stop the actor from smiling and greeting his fans.
As the video went viral, several Chan fans remembered one of his past videos. According to the source report, in the video, Chan said, “When will one start to feel that they?re growing older? These few years, every time I receive news that a friend has passed on, I feel my age. When I was younger, I wished to be famous, so that Hongkong, Asia, and the entire world would know my name.?
