Much like his professional career, his personal life also drew much public attention. His secret marriage with Taiwan actress Joan Lin Feng-jiao grabbed public attention. Speaking about it, the martial artist opened up in an archived interview.
Jackie Chan opened up about her love life with Lin?
The martial arts expert never sighed away from expressing his feelings and speaking his heart out. He confessed that there were times when he was involved with many women. However, his life changed when he met Taiwan’s actress Lin Feng-jiao.
In his interview, he revealed, “She fell in love with me, but I was always fooling around. Then suddenly, she told me she was pregnant.” It was then their life took an unexpected turn; on learning that she was pregnant, she gave up her career and went to Los Angeles to hide. Though Jackie cared about her but did nothing. The reason being he wasn’t aware as to “how to love” her.
It was then he received a call from his friend from the US who informed him that “she’s?getting bigger and bigger.” Jackie then decided to visit her. When he met her, she made a heartfelt request. She said, “You can have your life; I just want our baby to have your name.”

On hearing Lin’s request, Jackie decided to marry her. They secretly married in 1982. As Jackie revealed, “I married her, and the next day, our son was born. Then I got on a plane and returned to work.” The next day after their wedding, their only child Jaycee Chan was born.
Lin has since retired from the film industry. The couple since they are married. At the age 19, she started her career at the age of 19. Her first film was ‘The Hero of Chiu Chow.’ In the 1970s, she was a dominant name in Taiwanese and Hong Kong Cinema.
