Furthermore, the director, Ang Lee, said the Chinese-American actor was “a bridge between East and West who introduced Gung Fu to the world.” The iconic performer is also credited for revolutionizing art and action in cinema.

At the age of 21, Lee wrote a letter to his family friend, Pearl Tso. He shared his thoughts on how to make a good living. He listed two ways–hard work and the result of imagination. 

In every industry, in every profession, ideas are what America is looking for. Ideas have made America what she is, and one good idea will make a man what he wants to be,” he wrote.
