The martial artist turned actor Bruce Lee was one of the greatest personalities in the world. As an actor, people had several opinions about him. Many stated that Lee was rude to stuntmen on set while many believe he was quite caring. However, in one of the interviews, Lee?s daughter talked about her father?s caring nature affected his peers.

Bruce Lee is credited for popularizing martial arts-based movies on the western side of the world. He bridged the gap between east and west audiences, making himself a pop culture icon. In fact, a larger part of the youth was encouraged to learn martial art because of him.

When Bruce Lee began to produce Hong Kong-based films in the United States, he received great love. Soon he became a megastar. However, since his death in 1973, several rumors about his behavior have sprung up. Lee?s daughter, Shannon Lee has always tried to give closure on how her father was and defend his reputation.

Lee used a lot of ?my friend? while talking to people. In one of the podcasts, Shannon was asked the reason behind Lee?s quote. She explained that Bruce Lee was very kind and caring as a person. He wanted to treat every person he talked to not just as an entity but as a friend. His way of speaking was very charismatic trying to impart knowledge to the listener.

Furthermore, she shared that her students and friends were engrossed in his generous way of speaking. Shannon stated in the podcast, “It had such an impact on my father?s students and friends to this day that they think about him and talk about him they get emotional because they felt seen by him.”

Shannon believed that her father was different from the on-screen Bruce Lee. Many personalities like Jackie Chan have also shared that Lee was very kind and caring to stuntmen on set and that he never disrespected them.

Many biopics were made in Lee’s glory ever since he died in 1973. Recently, Oscar winner director Ang Lee announced that he will cast Lee’s son Mason Lee in the latest biopic of Bruce Lee. Taiwanese-American actor Mason Lee is a microbiology researcher.
