Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables 2 boasted a star-studded cast, including some big names like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chuck Norris. However, the movie soon became infamous for its language and graphic content?so much so that one of the stars had to intervene to make changes. Norris had once put down his own conditions before agreeing to be a part of the movie.

Not many martial arts luminaries have shrines dedicated to their names. However, Chuck Norris is not one of many. Chuck Norris refused to participate in vulgar content

Since his epic encounter with Bruce Lee in The Way of the Dragon, Chuck Norris established his name as one of the key action heroes of Hollywood. Despite carrying the badge of top-notch action and fight scenes, Norris did not indulge in vulgarity.

The Expendables 2, therefore, posed a challenge for the martial arts champion. Apparently, he blatantly refused to partake in explicit content. In order to ensure that Norris remained a part of the movie, the producers had to cut down and modify some lines. His persistent discretion only agreed for him to be on board only after the producers toned down the screenplay.

As reported by HuffPost, speaking about the conditions he laid bare, Norris stated, “I don’t play in movies like this. Due to that I said I won’t be a part of that if the hardcore language is not erased. Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be rated PG-13”. While fans eagerly awaited the release of The Expendables 2, Norris’s terms added to the curiosity of audiences’ responses.
