Athletes and movie stars have at least one thing in common – Fans. From Wayne Gretzky to Jackie Chan, every star has faced a strange fan interaction at some point in their career. While Gretzky once sued two of his lady fans, Chan got smacked by one. Reportedly, the bizarre gesture stunned the martial artist-turned-actor. One of his fans went to the length of following the Vanguard actor everywhere. Being famous, was both a help and a hindrance for Chan.

To his utter disbelief, a fan once slapped the actor leaving him in shock. The incident happened when a fan suddenly attacked Chan at one of his parties in China.

Jackie Chan once had a bitter experience with his fan

Ever since the Rush Hour actor has published his autobiography Never Grow Up, he has become an open book to his fans. While dedicating a chapter to his fans, the veteran actor shared some weird incidents with his fans that still made him smile. Addressing one such event, Chan talked about a time when he used to have a Christmas party every year in Hong Kong.

Fans would stand in line to get a picture with the superstar, along with an autograph. There, a girl showed up to take an autograph and was about to ask for permission, when Chan unknowingly said, “Sure, all right”. Suddenly, the girl raised her hand and slapped him!

As Chan puts it, “she raised her hand and lightly slapped me on the face. I was stunned, and so were my bodyguards. No one had expected this. ‘Okay,’ I said. She left, and the next person stepped up”. Though this was not the last time she did it. After that, she appeared there for two more years and repeated the same. After the third time, the martial artist asked his bodyguard to ?Keep an eye on her; find out what her deal is”. Interestingly, she popped up again, but this time Chan’s men found her before she could do it again.

To his utter surprise, she exclaimed to one of his men, “Now I?ve proved that you remember me, so he?ll remember me, too”. Apparently, the officials banned the girl from any of his future events. However, the story doesn’t end here. After a few years, when the Kung Fu star almost forgot about his crazy fan, she appeared again and tried to smack him but failed.

This was not the only bizarre incident Chan had faced. Evidently, the Shanghai Noon actor confronted another fan whom he described, “…there she was, red lipstick, red dress, red leather shoes, red suitcase”. The woman flew from the Philippines to Hong Kong and then from Hong Kong to San Francisco just to meet her favorite actor.

She followed Chan everywhere, from hotels to the lift and even to his home. Once she reached his L.A. home and refused to return without meeting him. She also she tried to dismiss an event, where Chan was in attendance, by misleading the crew and falsely alarming them about a bomb.
