The New York Marathon is one of the biggest sporting events in the country. Having completed a total of 51 successful starts, the event is back again for the season of 2023. The Platinum Label marathon is said to be the last of six World Marathon Majors events scheduled for 2023. Following up, the excitement couldn’t have been a greater one for the day.

The 2023 NY Marathon is believed to have about 50,000 participants from across the country. Interestingly, as the crowds take to the street early on the 5th of November, some of the notable names in the entertainment industry seem to have joined in on the party.

A look into the celebrity appearances

The route for the marathon will be marking a start from Staten Island covering 26 miles to end in the National Park. Covering the miles along thousands of runners will be notable personalities; two of whom are the television personality couple, Amy Robach and TJ Holmes. Following the renowned duo, some other notable names have announced their presence; and interestingly not all of them are the first timers. ?The Bachelor? Matt James, will be running his second marathon and in support of in support of ABC Food Tours. While ?Catfish,? Nev Schulman will impressively be making his presence known for the 7th time and will be guiding runners who are visually impaired. As for Grammy awardee Patina Miller, the singer will be commencing the event by performing the National anthem; further running in support of Komera.

Another one of the names includes ?Brothers & Sisters? actor Luke Macfarlane, marking his debut and running in support of Beyond Type 1. But he won’t be the last of the celebrity appearances. The route for the long journey will begin from the Verrazano Bridge for the Wheelchair dicision starting at 8 a.m. For the runners, the opening line will be marked in Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island. The event will begin at 8:40 for women and 9:05 for men. The family reunion located in Central Park West between West 63rd and West 66th Streets, with entry points on Columbus Avenue; reports the official website of New York City. As for the weather, it is expected to be 11 degrees at 7 a.m. rising to the peak of18 degrees at around 4 in the afternoon. With precipitation predicted at 2% the weather will prove to be no obstacle for the day.
