James Cameron Once Revealed Alternative Plans for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 vs T-1000 Ending Fight Scene- “I Basically Had Two Competing Ideas”

James Cameron’s Terminator 2 was a hit during the 90s and is still one of the best sci-fi movies. Arnold Schwarzenegger acted in the Terminator franchise, but Cameron had a specific plan for him in Terminator 2. Despite being an old movie from an era when cinema was just taking baby steps, Terminator 2 holds a place in every sci-fi movie fan’s heart, even those who are fond of Schwarzenegger.

Arnold Schwarzenegger hails from Austria, and it wasn’t always easy for him to blend into a whole new country. Despite all his struggles, he did make it into Hollywood and left a mark on everyone’s heart. Schwarzenegger also won Mr. Universe five times along with Mr. Olympia for an incredible seven times. From 1970 to 1975, Schwarzenegger ruled the title. He did retire in 1975, but made a surprising comeback. In 1980, Schwarzenegger won Mr. Olympia again. Thereafter, he remained focused on acting in the movies.

The movie Terminator 2 was an action-packed movie, but James Cameron always wanted to add some more spice to it. From the start, Cameron had a lot of ideas that would have surprised the whole audience.

“I basically had two competing ideas,” Cameron said. He had a plan where Skynet would have sent a Terminator which was Arnold Schwarzenegger. This one was to take out John. Then now the twist comes in. The resistance would also send a terminator, which was a reprogrammed version of Schwarzenegger himself.

“So Arnold would become a dark hero character, obviously,” said Cameron. Although in Cameron’s mind, it was a great idea, William Wisher, the co-writer, was against the idea. Wisher thought making two Schwarzeneggers fight each other would have been boring and not appealing to the audience.

The whole story was about a dude trying to save a little boy from a liquid metal-made alien. The T-800 vs T-1000 was epic and all the film enthusiasts enjoyed it, but who knew Cameron had some other ideas which could have changed the whole story.

The Terminator franchise isn’t the only one where Schwarzenegger went all out in acting. Despite having a serious and tough-looking body and personality, Schwarzenegger has also acted in a comedy movie.

In the movie Twins, Schwarzenegger’s comedy skills caught the attention of his fans. Everybody thought comedy wasn’t a thing for Schwarzenegger, but he proved them wrong. The story was very interesting as a pair of twins, one who was short and the other who was tall, met each other after a long time. Twins was very famous during its release and also became one of the greatest movies of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Even after all these years, Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger are still in touch. Arnold Schwarzenegger always followed his passion and enjoyed his life after retirement.
