Stealing headlines, NFL star Tyreek Hill recently took a dig at Usain Bolt. Responding to Bolt’s challenge, Tyreek said that his 1 Super Bowl ring is much more valuable than all of Usain’s Gold medals. However, is that really true?

Can Usain Bolt?s 30 medals fight the Super Bowl ring??

Bolt’s success has reached its peak since the day he became the fastest man on earth. Although a lot of sprinters try to break his record, there are hardly a few who can get close to Bolt?s time.

Bolt and Hill have had an online battle going on, regarding the title of “World’s fastest man”. Long ago, Bolt challenged the NFL star to bid his Super Bowl ring against the Olympian?s gold medals. After months, Hill finally responded to Bolt, confident about his victory.

He further stated that his Super Bowl ring is worth much more than Bolt?s gold medals, which the sprinter collected throughout his career.

“My super Bowl ring is times all those gold medals. While my one super Bowl ring is like 30 gold medals. I feel like you know because those are so hard to get,? said Hill. However, is that factually correct?

A single gold medal weighs 556 grams, out of which 550 grams are silver and the rest 6 grams are gold. Therefore, the total worth of a gold medal adds up to be almost $877, $379 for gold, and $497 for silver. Bolt collected 8 gold medals, whose total worth would be around $7,000. This means his 30 Gold medals will cost $26,310.

Meanwhile, Hill?s Super Bowl ring almost costs $35,000. This means that Hill’s claim was actually right. However, to only consider the monetary value here would not be right.

The Olympics happen every 4 years while the Super Bowl happens every year. This means that if the roles were reversed, Bolt had the potential to win many more medals, the worth of which would ultimately have been more. Additionally, the Olympics are the single biggest event in the history of sports. On the other hand, Super Bowl is a domestic event.

Even though the monetary value of the ring is more, nothing holds as much value as Olympic glory. Not just individual merit, but winning an Olympic medal is also considered as a National accomplishment, which is celebrated by fans, followers, and the whole of the athlete’s nation.
