Behind the scenes with Simone Biles
In the final episode of the documentary, Biles talks about her astonishment over the events of the last few months. Regardless, she sets aside the drama and debate, and looks at the brighter side of life, feeling nothing but contentment now.
?If you would have told me like a year ago I?m only walking out of 2020 Olympics with 2 medals, I would have cried. But now I’m just like, I am happy. I walked away with two medals I didn?t think we would get, and in one piece, I am not mad.? she said.
The video also showed moments from her Olympic training where she felt the pressure and realized it was taking a toll on her. In fact, Biles was also caught practicing her flips in her hotel room.
Notably, Biles?s coach, Cecile Canqueteau Landi, opened up on her feelings towards her prodigy’s withdrawal. She said, ?I didn?t see it coming, I wish I did. Honestly, I could see it was a bit harder mentally for her and that the other time around, she just..you know, not her family coming, the covid protocols, the pressure, everything in the year and a half??
Even though she withdrew initially, Biles fought back bravely and still brought home two medals.?

I sobbed the whole episode. You’ve taught us so much. You said it yourself “I grew up a lot in 10 days” but you also taught the world A LOT in those days.
I feel soo deeply for everything you had to endure. World lacks of empathy sometimes & I’m sorry people are mean to you— Psic. Marisol Miranda (@pmarisolmiranda) September 29, 2021
