As per the social media update, the CBS Sports media personnel iterated that the 37-year-old athlete’s dismay over the news was justified since he contributed to their success for more than a decade. Moreover, with his retirement days fast approaching, it was a relatively insensible decision from the organization’s side. “Just let the man finish his career in LA,” he expressed in his tweet.

Furthermore, he elaborated his point of view by stating, “Can you really blame Jonathan Quick for being upset with the trade? I get it’s a business, but the man spent 16 years with the Kings and is near the end of his career.” Apparently, Quick assisted the team’s prior Stanley Cup wins in 2012 and 2014. He was also honored with an MVP title. Hence, the recent transaction appears as a disgrace to his efforts.
Surprisingly, another marked exchange followed within the day. Blackhawks’ right winger, Patrick Kane, who also contributed significantly to the four Stanley Cup wins for his team, was traded with the Columbus Blue Jackets leaving fans with mixed feelings.
