Trainer Nicky Henderson has a stellar reputation. As a long-time figure in the horse racing industry, he has seen it all. More and more people are taking an interest in him and the champion stallion, Constitution Hill, because of his outstanding training methods. In addition to being forthright about the challenges he encounters on track, Henderson did so while disclosing the latest information on his X handle. In the caption, the trainer wrote, “Unfortunately Constitution Hill will not be able to run in the Unibet Hurdle @CheltenhamRaces next week due to an unsatisfactory scope.” However, Henderson also pointed out the future of the horse, saying, “This does not affect any future plans beyond Trials Day.”

Given that Constitution Hill can always pull a fast one in a race, the trainer’s choice was understandably not an easy one. Moreover, according to Henderson, the desired outcomes weren’t “entirely satisfactory“. Along with that, he mentioned that the horse wouldn’t have been ready for the Cheltenham Trials Day since there wasn’t enough “time” to prepare him. Additionally, Henderson elaborated on how the horse’s “future plans” and his own team’s intentions for the champion stallion would remain unaffected by this choice.
Horse racing fans left stunned
The unbeaten Constitution Hill’s break would further extend into the 2024 season. The Cheltenham Festival is in March, so the fans may have to wait until then. However, the stallion’s supporters are loyal to the horse and have shared positive notes for the seven-year-old and its trainer in X’s comment section.
One fan was very vocal about all the critics out there.
As it should be, horse first. Too many sofa experts who don't know hard it is to keep a horse sound all season…
