A Stallion astonished his fans with his mind-blowing performance in the esteemed horse race of South America Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini International. This biggest race took place in San Isidro near Buenos Aires, Argentina. The race serves as a route to secure a berth in the next year’s Breeders’ Cup.

El Encinal has become the first horse to secure the Breeders’ Cup berth. After securing 14-1 points on December, 16, the powerful stallion garnered this win. El Encinal successfully defeated his opponents in the middle of a stretch in the roughly one-and-a-half-mile turf race, before rising in the final exciting jump. Let’s take a look.

El Encinal triumphs the Breeders’ Cup Berth

The Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini Internacional is the most eminent race in South America. Pellegrini is also tagged as the first Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series. El Encinal nailed the notable victory in the 2023-2024 season race. After securing this celebrated triumph in a field of 14 3-year-olds and upward El Encinal also received the biggest invitation for the starting slot in the race of Breeders’ Cup Turf worth 4 million dollars. It will be held next year in November 2024 in California’s San Diego County Del Mar.

The World Horse Racing took to its official Twitter account to announce the victorious news and also divulged the stallion winner’s next participation detail. The recent tweet reads ‘’The first horse is IN for next year’s  @BreedersCup  at Del Mar! 🇺🇸 EL ENCINAL wins the G1 Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini Internacional at San Isidro, a #WAYI for the Breeders’ Cup Turf!’’

El Encinal’s racing career

Following the first two top-ranked winners, Treasure Island secured third place, while Jazz Seiver took fourth place in the running series. Throughout El Encinal’s early racing career, this victory is the most significant. He has won three starts of his past four starts after losing his first five starts. El Encinal won August’s maiden race but only by a nose. It was El Encinal’s sixth attempt, however, when he gained momentum after winning the Ensayo (G3).
