He is a British trainer and has stunned the entire horse racing community with his latest update on social media. He is finally embarking upon a journey he has been waiting for a long time.
David Eustace has decided to bring a change for himself in the 2024/25 racing season. Eustace has taken the horse racing world by surprise by announcing his departure from his current role with Ciaron Maher Racing at the end of January. In his career, he has made a very ideal impression on everyone. He is usually applauded for his patience and thorough approach. Now, he is moving forward to a new chapter in his life.

David Eustace is the son of Newmarket trainer James Eustace and brother to the budding young handler Harry Eustace. He is also the nephew of the former Hong Kong trainer David Oughton and he is on the right path to living up to the names in his family line. Trainer David Eustace took to his X account on the 21st of December 2023 to announce his separation from his current role. He expressed, “I am delighted to announce that I will be joining the Hong Kong Jockey Club for the 2024/25 seasons”.

In his tweet added the image of the official letter that stated his move to the new role. He keeping his current role in sight stated, “I look forward to working with CMR until the end of January, after which my attention will turn to Hing Kong and the season approaching”. He also thanked the CMR team for their constant support and so many learnings in his career. Not just this, he also opened up about his feelings about this new change.

Eustace shares his feelings about the new change
Being the nephew of a former Hong Kong trainer, David Eustace always had his eyes set on this role. He expressed, “My mother is David Oughton’s sister and as a nine-year-old, I was aware of David training over in Hong Kong and thought that it would be an amazing experience to train there eventually”.

He further added, “It’s a great honor to be invited to train in Hong Kong. There are limited spots and there’s fierce competition, which certainly excites me”. It was a dream for Eustace to be a major part of Hong Kong’s horse racing world and he is now all set to start this journey. This 32-year-old has waited for this opportunity for a very long time and has finally reached it.
