The mare started a decent streak of placing back in 2022 when she raced the nine-furlong Ladies in January at the Big A. Battle Bling put behind grade-stake winner, Miss Leslie to time the clock at 1:57:11 and grabbed on to the year’s 1st win. From there, the 5-year-old went on to clinch the 1 1/16-mile Twixt in October at Laurel Park and Grade 3 Turnback the Alarm Handicap on Nov. 4. Following the streak, trainer Rob Atras hoped for Battle Bling to maintain the form as she headed to Go For Wand Stakes.

“She came out of the race well,” Atras said ahead of the stakes; according to Paulick report. “You never know when they run that hard and that frequently, like she has, running in stakes every month since last winter, but she’s kind of an iron horse.” Atras also added that Battle Bling had been remarkable for them and had been very nice to have. Though the mare landed 8th, she recovered to a 2nd in her next run at 2023 Ladies; currently standing to entitle $674,317 in career earnings.
