After claiming her 1000th win as a rider, Hayley Turner’s first response was, “I did drag it out a little bit and made a bit of a mountain out of a molehill.” She was talking about her late run recently. She has taken 33 days to convert her 999th win into 1000. However, that late run couldn’t make a chink in her armor. The Chelmsford victory has made her the only woman in Europe to have the 1000 win in horse racing.?
Talking to Racing TV, the 40-year-old rider quipped “it took me a plenty of time.” But in the next moment, she reminded us that there are plenty of young riders who keep coming in horse racing. She kept her hope high on those girls as she added, “Although it’s taken me 20 years, it will probably take them half the time, it’s nice to see the progression from when I started to now. It’s great.”?

Hayley Turner’s journey in the horse racing?
After grabbing the 1000th win at Chelmsford, Hayley Turner named David Simcock and Khalifa Dasmal as her motivation. David Simcock has remained synonymous with most of her high feats in her career. In 2011, Hayley won the Group 1 July Cup. That was her first outing on David Simcock-trained equine. Hayley shot to fame after riding the I’m A Dreamer equine. David Simcock also trained that equine. That pair gave her a third-top-level win.
