The $100,000 Eddie Logan Stakes took place on December 29, the scene was set for 2 yo’s to race 8 furlongs for victory. Under the skillful direction of jockey Umberto Rispoli, the favorite roan colt Lord Bullingdon emerged as the victorious protagonist. Following the 1:36.15 finish, a tweet was posted by @santaanitapark focused on jockey Rispoli’s words. He said, “It was a very good trip, I sat behind the speed. Last time I have to say it was my fault, I didn’t give him a chance to get his legs under him. Today he was a different horse.”

Trained by Michael McCarthy, Lord Bullingdon negotiated the race cautiously, saving energy out of the gate and hugging the barrier until the top of the lane. Charge for Gold, trained by Phil Oviedo, set a strong pace from the start of the race. Despite being the longest shot in the race(18-1), he hung on to second place with a half-length lead over Twirling Point. The latter, ridden by Kazushi Kimura.

Lord Bullingdon’s recent racing records
