World Horse Racing recently shared a captivating post featuring a stunning video of the Titleholder gracefully making his way to his new home against a backdrop of pristine white snow. The caption beautifully welcomed him, stating, Welcome, TITLEHOLDER! The Japanese superstar has arrived at his new home, snowy Lex Stud in Hokkaido!”

Titleholder has been a prominent figure in Japanese horse racing, showcasing his prowess over the years. His 2023 season began triumphantly with a comfortable win in the Nikkei Sho (G2) on March 25. He dominated the 2,500-meter race at Nakayama, securing an 8-length victory. However, his fortunes took a turn in the subsequent Tenno Sho Spring (G1) in Kyoto. He was withdrawn mid-race due to lameness in his right foreleg. Although Trainer Toru Kurita noted it wasn’t a severe injury, it’s worth noting that Titleholder is the offspring of Duramente and Mowen, sired by Motivator. His lineage indicates a significant role in carrying forward Duramente’s legacy into the next generation. Did you know he was purchased for dirt prices but achieved exceptional returns?
