Anderson’s horse Transmission made a mistake early on in the action, causing him to temporarily fall out of the saddle and frantically grab his horse’s neck reported BBC. It was a dangerous situation, but Anderson’s fast thinking to get back into the saddle by preserving the momentum on Transmission avoided the impending danger of falling off. Remembering the incident, Anderson added, “I lost my irons and I kept going for one of them but it had gone over my saddle.”

However, he added, “Then jumping the last second time around he settled away, so I was able to have a little play around and get it back.” From that moment on, Anderson and Transmission coordinated a slow climb through the race. After landing first at the second-to-last hurdle, Transmission put on a strong charge and won at odds of 9-2, winning by a dominating two and a quarter lengths. The incident saw some positive response from Transmission’s trainer post-win.
