Wiring the entire race in style, Ruby Nell took to register her fourth win from a total of five tries in the races at Santa Anita Lawn.

Talking about the race, Jockey Edwin Maldonado remarked, “My job was just to try to slow down as much as I could and just hang on. Even with a :45 fraction, I feel like she’s going slow because she’s got her ears pricked forward and was just waiting for me to ask her.” Trainer Richard Mandella added that she is indeed very good, “but she also often shows when she can relax and finish.” Hence, he added that Ruby Nell has a clear understanding of how to dominate the race.
