The Hong Kong International Races (HKIR) is one of the most prestigious events in the horse racing world. Hosted by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, one of the oldest institutes in the region, the event holds a rich history and continuation. From Malaysia and Singapore being the only invitees in the initial courses to including the world in recent times, HKIR has grown to mark a highlighting presence in the racing calendar.
Every year, around mid-December, the racing community reserves a day for the Hong Kong International Racing. Sponsored by Longines, the event covers 4 Group 1 races, inclusive of thrill, excitement, and entertainment. As equines gear up with only over a week left on the board for the richest races, the glorious Japanese line-up is announced to have graced the Hong Kong grounds.

Danon The Kid, one of the best two-year-olds in Japan in 2020 will look to catch the eyes in Mile while Shahryar, winner of the Japan Cup will look to dominate the Vase.
