The horse racing community stood to bid adieu to one of the beloved horses in the industry on the 23rd of November. The 14-year-old mare, Scarlet’s Sister, held no track record of excellence but sure knew how to capture the field with her legacy. After being pushed to breeding stables owning no wins, Scarlet’s Sister rose to be loved each season; putting forth winning foals consecutively.
The Beverly D. Stakes winner, Sistercharlie, and the Prix de l?Arc de Triomphe victor, Sottass were two of the notable equines Scarlet’s Sister was a dam to. Though the two have now retired, the dam’s fame continues with the rest of her equines. Following along, the stance stands true today as one of Scarlet’s Sister’s last foals stands to extend his recent win to the beloved mare.
