Horse racing is an expensive sport. Because of the high cost of these animals, their owners expect a significant return on investment from their participation in races. But no one ever trains their horses; that’s where the trainers step in. Willie Mullins’ work ethic has earned him the confidence of many owners. He has been around for quite some time, and throughout that time he has helped several horses achieve legendary status in the world of horse racing. As reported by Racing TV, Mullins was honest about his “theory in life.” This also revealed his deep devotion to the sports world.

According to Mullins, he investigated “other sports” and “other trainers.” He elaborates on how he gets his “own answers” by studying other trainers’ horses to get perspective. In spite of his seeming dominance at the moment, Mullins is bracing himself for competition from other trainers since “options are open to everyone else.” While attending the 2024 Cheltenham Festival, Mullins hopes to achieve a century of triumphs on the track. Having said that, he is about to return one of his famed horses after a two-year absence.

Among the many famous horses that Willie Mullins has trained, Ferny Hollow stands head and shoulders above the rest. Even though the gelding hasn’t raced since the 2021 season, it’s on a five-race winning streak and hasn’t lost in that time. At the Leopardstown Racecourse, Ferny Hollow competed in and won the Racing Post Novice Chase (Grade 1), its most recent outing. Its margin of victory was 1½ lengths.

Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle by a length the last time it raced at the reputed track. Looking forward to what may be one of his most memorable races, Mullins is hoping for a fantastic G2 event.
