Olive, the current Breeders? Cup Filly & Mare Sprint defending champion, won as the favourite on Nov. 4, at Santa Anita by 2 ? lengths.?Under trainer Chad Brown and jockey Irad Ortiz Jr, the 5-year-old mare dominated the event and she added to her wins last year in the Breeders? Cup and wins earlier this year in the Madison Stakes and the Bed o? Roses Stakes.?Born in Kentucky by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings, she traces her pedigrees to Ghostzapper and silent film star Olive Thomas.

Breeders? Cup Distaff ? Idiomatic

Idiomatic closed her 2023 campaigns with three consecutive grade ones finishes like the $2 million Longines breeder?s cup distaff (G1). A trained horse in Brad Cox?s stable with ownership and breeding rights held by Juddmonte, the four-year-old mare demonstrated flexibility moving seamlessly from winning races off surfaces back to dirt dominance.

Born in Noblesville, Indiana, and trained by Larry Rivelli, Nobals started a notable career that encompassed ten wins ? on turf and the All-Weather. That included wins at such venues as Presque Isle Downs, Woodbine, and Churchill Down

Breeders? Cup Sprint – Elite Power

The offspring of Curlin, a son of Elite Power, and Broadway?s Alibi who won the previous year?s QRIC Cup Sprint (G1), clinched this race defeating the runner-up by half a length.?Elite power who was trained by hall of farmer Bill Mott purchased by Juddmonte farms at September Keeneland yearlings sale for a whopping price of $900,000.
