After Immigrating To America, Frankie Dettori Sends Festive Cheers from Renowned Stable

Frankie Dettori has been one of the greatest names of the horse racing realm. From the wishful stables of Italy to the 9-time podium stage of Gold Ascot, the sport has been inseparable from the racing icon. Today, after over 35 years in the industry and a path of uncertain decisions, Dettori has finally ventured into the next phase of his life, without forgoing his primary domain.

Frankie Dettori recently moved to the States following his retirement reversal announcement. With a change in the grounds, came the season of celebrations. Keeping along, the champion jockey sent along cheers for the spectators as he settled into a new home.

Updates and cheers find their way to the fans

Over the course of a year, Frankie Dettori revealed two bittersweet decisions for the racing community: a decision to retire and an announcement of reversing the same. However, the latter of the news entailed his decision to leave the grounds of Britain to move to America. Today, as he touches down in California, Dettori sent heartfelt wishes and updates for the awaiting fans. “Hello from @santaanitapark,” he captioned his Instagram post further adding a video message. “Morning everyone. Just to keep you updated, I am in Santa Anita. It’s not Christmas yet, so I will send you a Merry Christmas message tomorrow,” he said ending with a flying kiss and a ciao. 

Frankie Dettori, despite making his career presence around the world, has maintained a glorious career predominantly on the British soil. So after reversing his retirement decision in October this year, the jockey expressed wanting to expand his domain and keep on with his passion.

Frankie Dettori’s decision to move countries

When Frankie Dettori revealed that he would not retire just yet, he revealed that he still had the fire inside of him. However, instead of continuing on the British soil, he would move to California with his family. During his recent speech for SPOTY, the jockey revealed that since Britain had organized farewell tours and a statue at Ascot, he couldn’t really go on in the nation. Hence finding suitable environment in California sealed the deal for Frankie.

“I had an amazing four months, finished second in the standings [for Santa Anita’s Winter/Spring season], and I really loved the lifestyle,” stated about California. Considering the situation Dettori remarked that he would want to travel to Kentucky, Florida, Saratoga, Del Mar and explore the uncharted waters. Though his decisions could be completely wrong, Frankie Dettori wants to on until one day he wakes to hearing himself say ‘enough’.
