The Minnesota teen, Suni Lee, is well known for her mesmerizing flips and moves. The star gymnast is at the top when it comes to startling fans with fresh surprises. This time, the athlete sprinkled her skills on the baseball mound just like Simone Biles. The 19-year-old does not seem to slow down anytime soon.

The gymnast lit up the Minnesota Twins game as she threw a legendary official first pitch this Friday. What’s more, Lee was spotted warming up for the same with the Twins members!

Suni Lee chooses to follow her role-model Simone Biles

Since the age of 6, Lee never stopped working towards her goal, and finally became the 2020 Olympic all-around champion. Olympian Suni Lee once again highlighted her talent, but this time on the baseball ground. 

Suni Lee captivated fans with a smooth flip followed by a perfect first pitch, which was the cherry on top. Just after that, the gymnast posed for pictures next to the team’s pitcher and mascot. She wore denim shorts and a Minnesota Twins jersey, showing her support for the team. 

Instead of continuing the traditional way, Lee amazed fans by adding a little gymnastics into it. But nothing comes flawless without a bit of prior practice. Dustin Morse from the Twins captured Lee in a video where she was warming up for the pitch.

The match was between the Minnesota Twins and Toronto Blue Jays at Target Field. The game ended on a pleasant note for Toronto as they took home the trophy. Nevertheless, the Twins got Lee’s back, which itself is a big win for the team. 

Similarly, in 2019, Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles left fans in awe of the World Series. She too added a flip and revealed that she practiced her pitch with her father post that.

Notably, Biles and Lee both share a special bond despite having a six-year age gap. Apparently, they have many other similarities except for pursuing the same sport. 

Suni Lee says she is proud of herself

Suni Lee is the first Asian-American Olympic gymnast to take home gold and is really proud of herself. The athlete invested her efforts into the sport from a very young age and became the 2020 Olympic all-around champion. Furthermore, Lee is also the 9th most decorated American female gymnast. 

“My gymnastics career has helped change what’s expected for Hmong women because I decided to create my own path,” said the gymnast.
