The gymnastics journey of Simone Biles has been truly extraordinary. Back in 2014, Biles committed to UCLA on August 4. However, after she began her career as part of the UCLA Bruins, she realized she wanted to “go pro”. In an interview with Leah Faye Cooper of Vanity Fair, she even shared, “I just wanted to try to do college gymnastics,” but her career in elite gymnastics took fruition when she was inspired by legends like Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross, and Jordyn Wieber after seeing them dominate the London Olympics in 2012. Just days after this revelation in a classic gymnastics twist, Simone Biles’ college aspirations took on a new perspective amid the NCAA season.
