For Paul Juda, 2024 is the year of his dreams to contribute to another team. Well, specifically, a business team. After the disqualification to enter the Tokyo Olympics, he made it to the Paris Olympics this year. And guess what? The US elite gymnastics team cleared their drought of medals in the Olympics. He achieved the dream of entering the Olympics. Hailing from the University of Michigan, Paul is a three-time NCAA All-American and has significantly contributed to the US gymnastics team winning the bronze in Stade de France. And now, he is all set to step into his new endeavor.

About his perspective on his new entrepreneur venture, Paul Juda said, “This mantra that I’ve got going into my professional world after I exit gymnastics, is going to be more about the one who can do the most good,” as quoted by Inside Gymnastics. And what is it exactly? Recently, the GymnastX and NCAA floor exercise champion, Paul Juda, made it public that they are shaking hands on the brand promotion. But wait, there is more. He is not only promoting the brand as the Chief Brand Officer but will also work on the board as the Chief Revenue Officer.

Born to an immigrant family, Paul Juda is incredibly enthusiastic about his life’s outlook. Talking about the giving of the most good things, he said, “That’s what drives my entrepreneurial spirit and also just my thirst for wanting to see it in another avenue. Just to finish that off, one person really said it best once to me. They were like, ‘Well, becoming really successful in life is a lot easier than going to the Olympics and getting a medal. Think about the number of people that have an Olympic medal versus the number of people that are successful in business and do the math.’ I was like, ‘right, right, right.’ That’s what’s driving all of my passion, my fire.” He has been wearing the GymnastX safety gear for ten years now. He has a personal connection with the brand. Wearing for ten years now, the first pair was presented to him by his mom and brother as a Christmas gift. He wore it in the Olympics, too. That shows his true belief in the brand.

And the GymnastX made it clear that they regarded Pual Juda as an NFL-like entity. They approached him likewise. In comparison to highly regarded sports careers like the NFL, a gymnastics career has a low opportunity. But that doesn’t mean that the gymnasts leave their passion entirely after the end of their college career. Like Paul Juda, many gymnasts follow their love of sports in various manners, contributing to the upliftment of society. Many had already made their own brand.

Paul Juda, Jordan Chiles, and Simone Biles made sponsorships more than a business

What’s your perspective on:

Can Paul Juda's entrepreneurial spirit match his Olympic success, or is business a different ball game?

Have an interesting take?

Besides Paul, his compatriot, Jordan Chiles, had already launched her own line of leotards with the 40-year-old brand GK Elite. In 2021, following her BFF Simone Biles‘s example, Chiles, a 27-year-old decorated gymnast, set the style with kaleidoscopic color arrangements and has a strong outlook with the leading gymnast apparel brand.

And then there is the iconic Simone Biles, who created her own signature with her gymnastic tweaks on the floor. She started her business venture quite earlier than Jordan Chiles. However, she has not only invested in making money with sponsorships but is also creating a humane brand that actually means something. When Nike’s stand on women athletes didn’t go well, Biles stayed off its promotion. In 2021, Biles focused on women’s empowerment. She left Nike and joined Athleta, which fit her core values.

Stepping foot into the new business floor, there are many things a celebrity can do. Just like Simone Biles and Paul Juda. After reaching the top, Paul Juda rightly said, “I want us all to move away safely from gymnastics with nothing left on our plate and with no regrets, and then to be able to give back in massive magnitudes.” Well, that’s a way.
