After finishing fifth in Tokyo 2020, the men of Team USA Gymnastics finally cracked the code this year in Paris. The men’s roster ended a 16-year-long Olympic medal drought, this time improving to a third-place finish. While gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik also picked an individual bronze, it was a bonus on top of the team medal.

Among all the gymnasts who competed at the Paris Olympics, only one had the experience of competing in the Summer Games. And while they say the third time is the charm, Body Malone fulfilled his dream of earning an Olympic medal on his second try. Now, after earning bronze and completing a successful Gold Over America Tour, Malone has finally splurged on himself.

After a year of hard work, competition, and success, Brody Malone bought a 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty. “First big boy purchase! @brody1700,” the gymnast’s fiancé, Serena Ortiz, wrote on Instagram. She uploaded a picture of the Olympian standing beside his brand-new full-size truck. The fresh off-the-lot Super Duty didn’t even have a front number plate yet.

The Olympic bronze medalist looked elated standing beside the Super Duty in its Lariat variant, which costs $64,750 ex-showroom. So at the end of the day, license, registration, and insurance must have further racked up the cost. However, there was a good reason Ortiz called the truck the gymnast’s ‘big boy’ purchase.

Besides being expensive, the Super Duty has serious towing and hauling capabilities. The conventional towing capacity of the truck maxes out at a whopping 30,000 lbs or 15 tons. With the gooseneck towing, that capacity bumps up to 40,000 lbs or 20 tons.

So it’s safe to say Malone won’t have any problems when going outdoors or hauling a trailer. However, even while celebrating the holiday season with an expansive gift, the gymnastics icon is preparing for his future in the sport.

Brody Malone is set to return to competitive gymnastics next year. After all, the Team USA icon doesn’t want an Olympic bronze to be the highlight of his gymnastics career. Instead, Malone, alongside his teammates Fred Richard, Stephen Nedorosick, Asher Hong, and others, hopes to upgrade their bronze medals to gold at LA 2028.

The gymnast is already making strides toward fulfilling the dream. Malone renewed his contract with EVO Gymnastics on December 24 so he can focus on training in 2025. “Christmas came early! We’re beyond excited to announce that Brody Malone will be back training at EVO ahead of the 2025 season!” posted the EVO Gymnastics Instagram handle.

When one fan inquired what they meant by renewing Malone’s contract, EVO cleared the air. “He has signed a contract to continue training at EVO with the MAG Foundation! Exciting news as it allows him to focus on his training without worrying about having a job as well – essentially, gymnastics is his job!” explained the Southwest Florida-based training institute.

With gymnastics lacking a pro league, this will be a massive boost to help the gymnast continue focusing on his craft. And Brody Malone won’t be alone. Stephen Nedoroscik and Paris 2024 traveling alternate Shane Wiskus should also join the 24-year-old at EVO Gymnastics. Yet what did you think about the
