Biles effortlessly performed her signature Yurchenko-style vault, the all-around gymnast scored a perfect 59.100! All of this after two years of staying away from the professional limelight, the compliments were obvious and her friend Gabby Thomas was all praises. Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas’s Olympic wins and setbacks

Thomas was a strong contender to win the 200-meter gold medal heading to the Olympics in Tokyo. Before the US Olympic trials, Gabby Thomas struggled with unexplainable hamstring pain. Later, after multiple testing, a liver tumor was found in her. Gabby’s MRI findings, which showed that the growth was benign, or non-cancerous, were obtained one week before the Olympic trials. Despite the pressure, the 5’9″ athlete won silver in 4×100m and a bronze medal in 200m sprints in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Later, she confessed, saying, “It Was Crazy Mentally.”

While Biles took home a bronze medal in the balancing beam final with a score of 14.000 after withdrawing from many events. In the women’s artistic gymnastics team final, Biles and the American women’s team also took home a silver medal. Regardless of their grounds, the two Olympians have remained at the top of the chart.
