In gymnastics, some athletes perform some of the most high-risk moves ever come across in the sport. Some of these moves look dangerous to the naked eye, and the governing body bans these moves. But for Simone Biles, it is just a walk in the park. Her famous Yurchenko double pike move in the vault attracts people to see her perform. Alexis Ohanian, the husband of Serena Williams, tweeted an appreciation post for Biles, surprised at how she pulled out this move.

Biles has several moves to her name, but the Yurchenko double pike is one of the complicated moves performed by a gymnast. It is so tough that some organizations banned this move. Simone, though, is the greatest of all time and could do it well, to the surprise of Ohanian.

Ohanian’s appreciation for Simone Biles

Defying the laws of physics, Simone landed the move in training before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Seeing that, Ohanian tweeted and acknowledged Biles’ aura in gymnastics. “SHE IS SO DAMN GOOD they had to ban certain moves because no other human could do them – deemed too risky for mere mortals. @Simone_Biles is a national treasure,” mentioned Ohanian.

No other women had attempted the move because of how dangerous it was. Biles did that in training and probably became the only one to pursue it. Executing the move requires a certain level of confidence and technical ability. After completing a round-off back handspring onto the vaulting table, the athlete flips twice in the air, holding the pike position. Landing on both feet is not a straightforward task. Hence, the move she pulled off impressed Ohanian.
