Stephen Nedoroscik has had quite an eventful year. He rose to prominence when he performed the incredible pommel horse maneuver at the Paris Olympics team final, which eventually led Team USA to a bronze medal finish. The 26-year-old’s performance really caught the fans’ attention, who lovingly started calling him ‘The Pommel Horse Guy’. But after his incredible performance at the Olympics, Stephen decided to take a break from the sport.
What was he up to, since taking a break? Well, he decided to foray into new territory as the Olympic gymnast entered as a contestant in the reality show ‘Dancing With the Stars’. This was an interesting move for the gymnast, who according to his own admission had never danced before. However, he surprised a lot of people with his campaign as he made it into the finals alongside partner Rylee Arnold, eventually finishing fourth. Thus, his foray into a new art form was very successful.
However, it seems that his gymnastics skills may have gotten neglected in this process. In a somewhat concerning Tiktok video for Stephen Nedoroscik fans, the gymnast was seen returning to Penn State on December 9th. There, he was still reeling from his DWTS success as he frequently danced around with his teammates. But one instance caught the attention of fans, which might raise questions about his future in gymnastics. Stephen was seen trying to attempt his trademark pommel horse.

However, it seemed like he was heavily struggling to complete the move, finding it difficult to execute the rotations, with his mojo looking very off. Eventually, Stephen got off the apparatus and laughed it off. His teammate also made light of the situation as he made fun of him, saying, “They call this the pommel horse guy? What?”
Despite the lighthearted banter, a very important question has arisen within the gymnastics community – has Stephen’s stint on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ hampered his career? Right now, that seems like an exaggeration, but it’s an important question to ask nevertheless. It might just be that the gymnast is a little rusty due to his inactivity in the sport. As soon as he starts getting into training again, fans can hope that the gymnast will get his mojo back again.

While Stephen Nedoroscik is sure to return to gymnastics, it might take some time for that to materialize. This is because the gymnast is all set to join the Dancing With the Stars Tour, which will start on January 23rd. The famed reality show, which will travel to numerous parts of the country, was keen to have one of its fan-favorite contestants on tour. But what might come as a surprise for some people is the fact that he’s going to have a new role on the tour. Instead of dancing, the gymnast will be co-hosting the events instead, making fans all the more interested in the show.

However, this might once again delay his return to gymnastics. Looking at the new clips of the pommel horse, the gymnast may need to get back to training in the sport he loves so much, soon, to fulfill his ambitions of an Olympic gold medal in the future. Otherwise, the road to Olympic gold status will be a long and winding one. Thus, while Stephen Nedoroscik currently enjoys his time outside of the sport at DWTS, fans are hoping he returns to the gymnastics mat and showcases his skills once again.
