Is Baby Biles the next Simone Biles in the making? What do you think, folks?

By now, we all know Ronni Biles looks up to her Olympian aunt with glitter in her eyes. From cheering for Simone Biles from the stands to sporting matching leotards with her aunt, Baby Biles loves to love NFL star Jonathan Owens’ wife. But the toddler might have picked up a few notes from the country’s most decorated gymnast of all time that could make Owens frown.

Ronni’s mom, Sammi Biles, shared the former’s latest gymnastics skills on her Instagram story from September 1. “Toddler wolf turn,” reads the caption of the IG story as Baby Biles can be seen working hard to perfect the move. The youngling does take a tumble while attempting the move, but her mom is justifiably impressed. And for good reasons. “the fact that she even knows what this skill semi is is crazy,” wrote Sammi in her latest post as she went on to express her delight at how her daughter is learning gymnastics all by herself.

A wolf turn on the balance beam and floor exercise might seem straightforward, but it’s a delicate dance of mass and inertia that can go south with just one wobble—yet, gymnasts chase those extra points because it’s got a higher difficulty rating, and as for Baby Biles’ TT Simone Biles? She’s been known to knock out six of them in one go like it’s no big deal. And Ronni is inspired!

We haven’t taught her she just watches & I guess really listens to all things gymnastics,” Sammi elaborated. Pretty commendable, right? But the Olympic gold medalist’s sister-in-law has a very different concern. Referring to how Ronni is of a very impressionable age, Sammi wrote in the social media post, “a good reminder to myself that she takes in EVERYthing I guess…scary but also very impressive.

Well, watching her aunt Simone Biles make waves on international stages week after week was bound to leave an impact on Baby Biles, right? But while the Biles family revels at how gymnastics runs deep in the house, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens isn’t all sunshine and rainbows about it.

Simone Biles’ husband just has to deal with it

Just three days ago, Simone Biles was spotted pulling Owens’ legs on social media, not something that’s uncommon for the couple. In a post on Instagram Threads saying, my husband – “man I hate wolf turns,” the Houston native joked that her husband isn’t a big fan of wolf turns. While fans arrived with mixed support for the NFL star, it looks like one of his in-laws is determined to keep showing up with the very thing that gets under his skin.

While Owens noted in an episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks: Training Camp that watching his wife in action makes him laud the difficulty that the sport entails, he doesn’t seem to be quite comfortable with the wolf turn. But Baby Biles has her own learning path nonetheless. Ronni spends quite some time at the World Champions Centre in Texas, the same gym owned by Simone’s parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, and where the Olympian alongside other stars hones her skills.

Watching the aspiring gymnast twist and turn, Sammi can barely conceal her excitement at times. “the way she is so intrigued w/ this sport at such a young age is so special for many reasons,” the toddler’s mom wrote on Instagram earlier this year. On the other hand, Sammi’s kid is a regular customer at the stands to watch her favorite aunt flaunt her gymnastics skills in front of thundering crowds. She also paid a visit to the City of Love with her family to watch Simone wooing the fans at her third Olympic appearance. Naturally, she’s bound to pick up something every once in a while from her TT. Are we looking at the Biles family itself to carry forward the gymnastics legacy of the iconic Olympian?
