Simone Biles as an NFL cheerleader—could this be the ultimate crossover we never knew we needed?

Since taking their relationship public in 2020, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have shared plenty of smiles and chemistry. But beyond all that, the two have shown the world that they stand up for each other and stand by one another regardless of what is thrown their way. May it be controversies or Olympic medals, Biles and Owens do not flinch! But one of their cutest moments came moments before Biles’ Gold Over America Tour ended!

Biles was on the road with the GOAT team for nearly two months, making spending time with Owens hard. Additionally, Owens has his own hectic NFL schedule. Despite it all, Owens joined her on tour multiple times and made up for all the lost time. While it’s all dandy and fun, it turns out the queen of gymnastics had a dream of joining the NFL Universe once. But in a completely different role!

Back in 2017, Simone Biles was caught living out a moment from her unfulfilled NFL dream! She was seen with the cheerleading team of the New England Patriots. And what did they do? Well, Biles, being the queen she is, taught the team her iconic “shimmy.” It was during the 2016 Rio Olympics, when Biles won four Golds, that the “Shimmy” came on everybody’s radar. And then, much like Biles, its iconicity never left! However, the dream was not a class on shimmy; it was something entirely different.

As Biles taught the girls her iconic move, she went on to say, “I don’t tell people this, but I really want to be an NFL cheerleader.” Yes, you heard that, folks! Biles, once upon a time, did not imagine herself in a leotard but in skirts and a glam of a different kind! She even got a chance to live the dream for a bit in 2017 when she got invited to a Texan game. Biles took it very seriously, and she practiced all week, then donned the full cheerleader outfit. While this is a revelation in itself, here’s a bit of fuel! New England Patriots might not be Biles’ husband Owens’ favorite team. He, after all, plays for the Chicago Bears.

The New England Patriots and Chicago Bears have some history! On November 10, The New England Patriots will, for the first time since a 38-31 loss to Owens’ team in 2018 will, be coming to Chicago for a game. If that wasn’t enough, their last matchup ended in a 33-14 Bears win. So this is a big game for the Patriots, too. This will be their 16th meeting overall, including Super Bowl XX. While it’s a big game, when has that ever come between Biles and Owens? Turns out, amidst it all, they are planning on living out the Texan dream!

The house is a dream come alive for Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens. Their waterfront home even has a marble-clad bathroom complete with a freestanding tub. Also, it is a two-story house that has the upper level packed with a game room, home theater, wet bar, and a balcony overlooking the water. Biles has also brought in some of her own ideas into the spaces, like a walk-in closet and a kitchen outfitted with tray ceilings and mood lighting. As they continue to live out their NFL and gymnastics dreams, who knows? Maybe Biles’ NFL cheerleading will come true again, but this time as a Chicago Bears cheerleader, even if just for a game.
