Simone Biles gets candid with her fans
Coming fresh from a historic performance in Tokyo Olympics 2020, Simone has been touring on her Gold Over America tour. However, while she has been busy with her hectic schedule, Simone always finds time to connect with her fans online. Notably, in a recent ‘Q n A’ session on her Instagram story, Simone opened up on a reliving insight.
When a fan asked Biles,” Are you not afraid of the beam?” Simone, always being honest with her fans, replied, “Nope. Even though it’s betrayed me multiple times.”
Biles also attached a video of her falling down from the beam. The American gymnast is one of the most successful Olympic stars; however, she is yet to taste gold in the women’s beam event. At her maiden Olympic Games, she won four gold medals but clinched the bronze in the beam event.
Even at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she secured the bronze medal after withdrawing from other events. Notably, during the Olympic trials, she had an unexpected fall from the beam and left the session in tears.
However, going by her Instagram, Simone seems to have overcome her fears and is not afraid of the beam anymore.
Biles’ significant Olympic moment
Simone has appeared at the mega-quadrennial games two times- Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. In a question about the same, Biles was asked, “What Olympic moment has marked you the most in your career?”
Simone replied, “2021. Having the courage, to take care, and put myself first, 16-year-old Simone would never do.”
