Is Jonathan Owens the most supportive partner in sports? Simone Biles' latest gift says it all!

Jacquemus, Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton… Jonathan Owens has pampered Simone Bles with all. The latest addition to that is a diamond-encrusted 18-carat white gold version of Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Mini watch with Frosted Gold Quartz Dial, worth around $100,000. Owens gifted that to Biles just a few days back. But on the other side, Biles harbors a girl who struggled to satiate her hunger as a child. So after splurging hefty sums, Jonathan Owens seems to have come up with a gift that celebrates Simone as a person.

Owens has already been doing that this summer, by being present at every competition Simone has been taking part in. He was in the bleachers in Core Hydration Classic, Xfinity US Championships, and ultimately in Minneapolis to witness his wife securing her third Olympic spot. Now, with his latest gesture of love and support for Simone, Owens has literally etched his wife’s name in his life.

Days after Simone created history at the Olympic trials with her all-around score of 117.225 (the highest in the trials), she shared a wholesome moment in her Instagram story. In the accompanying picture, Simone was seen holding the left hand of Jonathan Owens. The ring finger of the Chicago Bears’ safety had the letter ‘S’ tattooed on it. Simone expressed all she wanted to say with two screaming-face emojis and two red hearts! But is it Jonathan’s first tattoo that connects him to his sweetheart? Probably not!

Last year, right after their courthouse marriage, Simone hosted a Q&A session in her Instgram stories to let her fans know about their destination wedding. in Cabo. One curious enthusiast put forward, “Any matching tattoos on the way?” “We have matching 444 tats,” Simone had revealed, with a black heart emoji. In numerology, 444 refers to the “angel number”, that signifies guidance. For some individuals, it might mark an important incident such as a wedding. Simone also had her own significance.

“4better, 4worse, 4ever,” she had written, indicating that the tattoos are for their love and support for each other. But keeping the intrigue, Simone didn’t reveal how long ago she and Owens inked that or where their tattoos were done. While these might look like the ultimate ways to show love for each other, they have already added many more pages to it.

Although Owens has been rarely present in Simone’s competition previously, this year has been remarkably different. He not only attended but was also seen taking notes mindfully during the US Championships. After Simone destroyed every competition at the trials, Owens passionately wrote, “No words can describe how proud of you i am, baby… i can’t wait to be able to watch you out there in Paris… Just sounds so surreal being able to say my wife is the best to EVER do it. How did i get so lucky 😌 I love you so much.”

So Owens is already looking forward to being on the stands in Paris. Then what happens to his NFL commitments? “The Bears are actually granting him a couple days off from training camp, so he’ll be there, yes,” Simone confirmed the important news. Bears veterans will have to report for training camp on July 19. Chicago will compete against the Texans in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 1. The U.S. women will start their Olympic journey with the qualifying round on July 28. The team final is on July 30. The women’s all-around final, where Biles is expected to be a favorite, is on August 1.

On February 14, 2022, Simone got the world hooked to her social media as she posted the picture of Jonathan bending on his knees. As they got engaged, the attention instantly shifted to Simone’s engagement ring. And it was not meant to be an ordinary one. A lot of thoughts went behind it.

“Jonathan has been a client and friend for a few years and I had the pleasure of helping him to create this very special ring. He and I started the process together a few months ago to select the perfect diamond for Simone that was handpicked by Jonathan,” the designer of the ring, jeweler Zo Frost had stated to Page Six. Jonathan also made it extra special by choosing to add a halo around the oval-shaped diamond.

Thus was born Owens’ perfect ring for his would-be wife that came with a huge center diamond with F color and VVS2 clarity. Jenny Luker, president of Platinum Guild International USA, estimated the center diamond is seven to nine carats. According to the Chief Merchandising Officer at Blue Nile Katie Zimmerman, it might have cost Owens a whopping $300,000.

Kathryn Money, SVP of Merchandising and Retail at Brilliant Earth, explained that the diamond was set on micro pave diamond accented white gold or platinum band. She also stated that the ring’s shape is “a very classic, timeless style that we love.” “You went crazy on this one bro really made the night special,” Owens had written while giving the jeweler a shoutout on Instagram. But did it impress Simone?

Back in February, on a show on Today, Simone had stated that the ring was her “most prized possession” and something she always wears. But her admittance, “It definitely beats a gold medal,” probably says the rest. What do you think about Jonathan inking Simone’s initial on his ring finger? Share your thoughts below.
