If there are two things that Simone Biles is absolutely great at, it has to be gymnastics and stealing the spotlight! On 24th November 2024, Biles decided to put on some denim-on-denim action! She wore a denim jacket with “OWENS” across the back, a tank top, and denim jeans and paired it all up with some white ankle boots. However, the main traction of the outfit was around her neck.

Biles wore a “J” pendant necklace to finish the look. So what’s the occasion? Well, Biles wore the outfit and arrived at Soldier Field to support her husband, Jonathan Owens. Owens’ team, the Chicago Bears, is coming off a four-match losing streak. And now, as they enter the Week 12 matchup, they are going up against the Minnesota Vikings. A team that has done fairly better than the Bears this season. For Owens and his team, breaking the losing streak is of utmost importance! The lucky charm Biles had arrived, wondering what happened next.

Despite showing up for good luck, even Biles couldn’t save the Chicago Bears!

Simone Biles was not in the area to earn style points. She was there to cheer on her man. And cheer she did! The moment the game started, Simone switched to fan mode. She was in the stands cheering as Jonathan Owens got to work on defense. Very early on in the game, Owens made his presence known. In fact, Owens went on to force a key fumble on Vikings running back Aaron Jones in the red zone. The stadium erupted, and so did Biles in joy!

After Owens got the fumble, he ran toward the end zone. In Biles-inspired style, he put his arms up and smiled. And from the box above, cameras caught Biles cheering and waving as Owens secured the ball for the Bears. Despite the Owens’ lucky charm being present, the match was rather tough. By the end of the first two quarters, the Vikings were in the lead. The halftime ended in a 14-10 score.  At this point, the Bears, sitting at 4-6, desperately needed a win to keep their playoff dreams alive.

However, the third quarter began, and the next thing you know, the scores had changed to 17-10, with the Vikings maintaining the lead. By the end of quarter three, the Vikings almost had a definite win. The scores changed and now stood at 24-10, with the Chicago Bears in an unfortunate spot.  As the fourth quarter began, the Minnesota Vikings continued to hold on to their lead. However, Owen’s team managed to kick their score up a tad bit to reach 16. And then came the twist that nobody saw coming!

The fourth quarter was an exciting one. In the last few minutes, the Bears managed to bring their scores up. The fourth quarter ended in a 27-27 tie with the Vikings. The match went into overtime. With four minutes remaining, neither team could manage to score. With two minutes remaining, the Vikings went on the score. Owen’s team lost to the Vikings 27-30. This time, it looks like even Owen and his charm Biles couldn’t save the Bears from the last-minute loss. However, despite it all, Simone Biles is all cheers for Owens. And how could she not be? They, after all, have a relationship built on getting through anything thrown their way!

Simone Biles & Jonathan Owens through thick and thin

While the match might not have been the best moment for Jonathan Owens, it was an iconic moment for their relationship. Simone Biles and Owens are two athletes who have extremely busy schedules. Since the two got married last year, despite the troubles of time. They have managed to support each other through thick and thin. And this year?

Well, it has been no different. The two are always there to support each other. Owens even took time off from Bears training camp in August to cheer on Biles at the Paris 2024. Meanwhile, whenever time allows, Biles shows up for Owen’s matches. In fact, when Biles was on her Gold Over America Tour, Owens flew in to meet her whenever possible. But this time, Biles showed up despite saying she wouldn’t!

Not so long ago, Biles, in an interview, went on to say, “We’ll have to see since it is Thanksgiving. Usually, some of the wives stay home because they get on a flight right after that game, so we’re usually back home waiting for them.” Maybe the other wives, but not Simone Biles. She understands the gravity of the match and, despite it all, showed up to support Owens. The two have become the gold standard in sports relationships. And will continue to stay right on top, where Biles is used to being!
