Simone Biles has done enough on the gymnastics mat this year, as she added four more Olympic medals to her tally. Since then, she has kept herself busy with the Gold Over America Tour and promoting her Netflix documentary, while also making a few reality TV appearances, like the time she acted as a mentor for Snoop Dogg’s team in The Voice. But now it seems that she has become busy with her family duties.

On November 30th, she uploaded pictures on her Instagram story celebrating her mother-in-law’s birthday. She uploaded numerous stories depicting the whole event. The first story was a photo of her mother-in-law Arthurine Cannon posing for the camera as the festivities were taking place. Simone captioned this photo, saying, “celebrating my MIL’S birthday🤍”

The second story showed them having drinks together, while the third one showed Jonathan Owen’s mother getting scared of the fireworks that people behind her were playing with. Overall, it seemed to be a fun event. And it was nice to see Simone Biles celebrating Arthurine Cannon’s birthday, as she has always expressed how she shares a close relationship with her in-laws. The gymnast seems quite fond of her MIL, and her IG love for her is making a comeback after a long time.

Before she got married to Jonathan Owens, she put up an Instagram story of a picture with his mother, captioning it with, “I have the cutest mother-in-law.” She then uploaded another photo alongside her mother-in-law and her three friends, showing that even before marriage, they were having outings together.

Simone also appeared in a Snapchat video series called Daring Simone Biles, where she competed against one of her friends in a burrito-making contest. Even there, she said that her main purpose was to impress her mother-in-law. She struggled a lot throughout the process, as she slightly burned the chicken. But, in the end, Simone won that contest, possibly achieving her goal of impressing Jonathan Owens’ mother. But she probably doesn’t need to worry too much about it. This is because Simone’s mother-in-law already seems to be quite happy with her. The proof of this lies in the fact she had a very active role to play in their wedding planning process.

In May 2022, Simone Biles had a very unique vacation. She took Jonathan Owens, her mother Nellie Biles, and her then soon-to-be mother-in-law Arthurine Cannon to the beaches. Simone documented this whole journey in her Instagram story, which started with five plane emojis. After that, the gymnast uploaded a video of all four of them in front of the hotel they were supposed to be staying in. However, the main purpose of this trip was revealed later.

In another story, Simone Biles showed all four of them celebrating with drinks in their hands. She captioned the story saying, “WE HAVE A DATE & A VENUE/LOCATION?” Thus, the vacation was taken to organize Simone’s wedding with Jonathan Owens. This is why both their mothers were present there. It was heartwarming to see all four of them happy for the future that awaited them. This date later turned out to be April 22, 2023, when she tied the knot with the Chicago Bears safety. They have lived happily together ever since, with Simone’s mother-in-law seemingly being very close to her.
