Simone Biles is having a well-deserved and relaxing end to the year. After capping off her redemption tour with four Olympic golds in Paris, Biles embarked on the biggest edition of the Gold Over America Tour. The stellar year saw the gymnastics icon make it to the top 15 highest-paid female athletes of the year. Now, with all the time in the world, what is the Olympian thinking of?
Well, it looks like the gymnastics icon has enough time on her hands to reveal the secret behind some quirky habits. And she isn’t just talking about herself. The seven-time Olympic gold medalist took to Threads while enjoying Christmas to reveal what a girl truly means when she says she’s had her eyes on something for a long time.
“When a girl says they’ve been wanting something for sooooo long it usually means 2 weeks,” Simone Biles posted about this habit on Threads. However, this revelation wasn’t the only odd thing about the 27-year-old’s 2024 Christmas.

Biles, who posted about going on a 24-hour Vegas trip yesterday, also posted unexpected news about husband Jonathan Owens. “Christmas looks a lil different when ya man gotta report to the hotel,” the world champion captioned her Instagram story. Though Biles is known for making unusual posts, she uploaded a rather cozy picture with the Chicago Bears star.

In the picture, Biles was lying on the bed while she had placed her legs over the safety’s legs. However, Simone Biles didn’t disclose if Owens visited Vegas to meet his wife. However, that may be unlikely, as spending Christmas in a hotel room with Biles is only the prelude to a huge day for Jonathan Owens.
Simone Biles’ husband could have a huge role to play for the Chicago Bears
While the Olympic gold medalist is taking things easy, the holiday week is packed for NFL safety. Besides the 34-17 snub against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, injuries hit the Bears squad hard. It was reported that Chicago Bears safeties Elijah Hicks and Tarvarius Moore are unable to practice due to injuries, resulting in Adrian Colbert getting promoted to the 53-man squad facing the Seahawks on Thursday.

If Hicks is unable to show up on game day, it will be Jonathan Owens and Adrian Colbert to shine on the field. Who knows? Solid performance from the safeties may see their stock rise exponentially in the Bears’ roster and, in turn, the NFL. Owens will have a great opportunity to add to his current season total of 40 tackles (24 solo) and 16 assists.

So while Jonathan Owen may have to spend Christmas in a hotel room with Simone Biles, it could all be worth it on Thursday. The eleven-time Olympic medalist will also be cheering from the stands in what she described as her favorite (so far) custom outfit, paying homage to her husband. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait too long to find out. Yet, what did you think of Biles’ insight on the peculiar habit? Let us know in the comments.
