They may have spent their childhood in different households, but that did not impact their relationship.?
The year 2019 was hard on Simone Biles and her brother Tevin Biles-Thomas
When Tevin signed up for the army in 2014 and went away to serve his country, Simone dedicated a tweet to her brother. It stated how much she would miss him during this time and wished him luck.
However, the family went through a difficult patch when authorities arrested Tevin in August 2019. They charged him with murder for a shooting that took the life of three people on December 31, 2018. The court acquitted Biles? brother of the charges in June 2021.

Biles and her siblings had to go through a rough phase during childhood. It was due to her mother?s struggle with addiction at the time. During an interview, Biles recalled a perpetual food shortage in their childhood home.
She recollected when she would get jealous of a stray cat because their biological mother fed it instead of the children. Looking back on those testing times, Biles said,??I remember there was this cat around the house and I?d be so hungry. They would feed this cat and I?m like, ?Where the heck is my food?? “

How did the siblings come out of this predicament?
Seeing the plight of the young children, their neighbors decided to take matters into their hands and notified the authorities. Following this, child services showed up at their doorstep. They removed the children from the mother?s care as they deemed her unfit to look after them.
